Three things support the world (Olam): Torah, Worship and Tzedakah (Charity) (Pirket Avot 1.2).

- brings together scholars at home, sit on your feet and absorb every word of it (Pirket Avot 1.4).
- Love your work, do not seek to impose yourself on others and stay away from the powerful (Pirket Avot 1.10).
- Hillel said: Be like Aaron, love peace and pursue it, love your neighbor and Bring it up to the Torah (Avot Pirket 1.12).
